My expectations were high given the reviews and info I've received from others but I've had issues with the fact that there is no soap dispenser. You have to put the soap in, start the cycle, then add your clothes or else you end up with blue soap stains on everything. It's a real pain in the rear to have to add a couple more steps to every laundry cycle.

This was recommended to me by a repairman. It costs quite a bit more than the machine I had which went out in under 5 years of use in a home with only 2 people. BUT, it's worth every penny to have this quality product that's made in America. It is leaps & bounds better than my prior "smart" machine that gave me much grief. It is so quiet that once it fills, you don't hear it at all! I am very happy with this purchase & highly recommend Speed Queen!

Love my Speed Queen

I have only been using my new washer for a few weeks but I can tell my clothes are cleaner than they were in my Maytag. The Maytag is only 3 years old but the clothes never got covered with water. The Speed Queen has different water levels and different soil levels to get to get my clothes clean the first time. The Speed Queen is quiet and has self leveling legs! I do think it was a little high but made in the USA means a lot to me and it really works well.

Like my dryer review, I've probably has every make of washers and dryers. Speed Queen really lives up to their reputation. My clothes come out clean and smell great! I'm sure the materials used to manufacture it has a lot to do with it. I appreciate the construction and how the tub is set a little higher, making it easier to remove wet clothes. I thought the tub capacity would be an issue but it's not. The wash and dry cycles are faster that my previous HE models and the clothes come out better. Best warranty too!

Dear Sirs, Our 22 year old washer/dryer pair were fading and we were delighted to discover that the laundromat manufacturer of durable machines, Speedqueen, also offered residential models. We purchased the matching TR7 and DR7 washer/dryer. We purchased these machines for the durability but didn't spend very much time on their controls, which are phenomenal. The water level sensor on the washer and the moisture sensor on the dryer eliminate having to guess at settings for every load, which will no doubt translate to many saved dollars. The special cycles on the washer incorporate various soak/rinse functions which involve a single button. The 7 year in home warranty tells us that with that much confidence in these machines, we can likely expect to use them trouble free for decades. Thank you.

This was my first speed Queen purchase. I had heard only good reviews about this company. My first impression was great. From first use, I found it to be easy to use and very quiet. I've had my washer about a month and it's been great. It's fast and through when it needs to be, but handled wools and cashmere with kid gloves. I switched from a LG front loader, and never once have I regretted it. It's not quiet, but it's not noisy, either. The warranty gives me a lot of peace of mind.

I love shopping local when I can and Redder's Showcase in Burley Id had lots of knowledge, lots of options to compare with other brands, and can provide value. It is a pleasure doing business with them. As for the machines themselves. I have never had a Washer so stable. Very impressed. I have a filtration system on the drain (because we are on a septic system) The rinse water is so much cleaner than before. It tells me that the clothes are getting cleaner in the wash cycle. As for the dryer we are enjoying the steam refresh feature which I did not think we needed.

Unhappy With So May Features

I just wanted A Speed Queen washer to replace my 19-year-old Speed Queen washer. Instead, I was forced into a technologically advanced eco-friendly machine that cannot do what I want. 1. I am forced to most often use the Heavy Duty cycle since the Normal cycle is "Eco." I want my clothes covered completely in water--ALWAYS, including the rinse! I do not want a spray rinse, I don't care about water consumption, 2. How do you add detergent first if you don't know how much water will be added with Auto Fill? 3.If I don't like the amount of water with Auto Fill, I can't make the machine add more. So, I have given up on Auto Fill. 4. Load size, sometimes medium is too small and large is too big. On my old machine, I could turn the dial halfway between medium and large. 5. From the sound of it, agitation is too slow. 6. Spin cycle is too loud. Am I old? Yes, I am. Will this machine last 19 years like my last one? I doubt it; it is too technical. But the fact is that Speed Queen washers have a better reputation than any other major company.

Washes great, but the detergent and softener dispenser is no good. I have to put water in, then put in the detergent, then run a double rinse to get all the softener out. I didn't really sign up for all this. I'm switching to pods to see if that helps.
